Clockwork MCP Tool Reference Guide
Everything the Clockwork connector exposes, grouped by what it touches. Each tool also accepts response_format='json' for machine-readable output and most list tools paginate (limit/offset). You don't need to memorize these — the prompts call the right ones — but this is a fundamental working list of what your LLM can retrieve.
Session & identity
- clockwork_get_knowledge — Loads Clockwork's data dictionary, behavioral rules, gap atlas, and annotated sample responses. Call once at the start of every session (business-rules and domain at minimum).
- clockwork_get_current_user — Resolves who "I" am for "my projects" / "my candidates" queries. Reads the CLOCKWORK_CURRENT_USER_ID env var or takes an email/name to look up.
Projects & searches
- clockwork_list_projects — Lists searches with filters: status, user_id/user_email project_type. Supports include (client_company, lead, owner, placement, project_type, closing_reason, tags).

Candidacies
- clockwork_list_candidacies — Two modes: a project's full pipeline (project_id), or all of one person's candidacies across every project (person_id). Includes person, status, overview/assessment/next-steps notes, and candidacy_stat.
- clockwork_get_candidacy
- clockwork_get_candidacy_status_history — The full stage-by-stage transition history for a candidacy: from-status → to-status, who changed it, and when. Answers "when did they reach interview?" and "how long in each stage?"
- clockwork_get_candidacy_notes — Notes on a candidacy with date-window filtering (begin_time/end_time) and include=author.
People
- clockwork_search_people — Full-text search across names, titles, companies, email, phone, tags, and résumé content. Supports a date-added window.

Conflict & reference data
clockwork_run_conflict_check — One-call off-limits check on a person: returns a GO / CAUTION / STOP verdict with evidence (do-not-contact, prior placement inside the no-poach window, active involvement on another search).
