Task: Panel

Task Creation

Users can now create and manage all Tasks within Clockwork from anywhere in the application. At the top right of your screen, you will notice "Tasks". Clicking this will open a side panel listing all Tasks that have been created.

Red Badge: indicates outstanding Task

The header will display the date each time the panel is opened. Tasks due in the next hour are indicated with a special border and minute based due-in time. Tasks display time in the users local time. 

Create Task

Users can create a new Task by clicking the + symbol in the bottom right corner of the panel.

Enter a Title for your task and select the type.

You can correlate tasks with People, Projects, and Deals through the Context drop downs. Select the Context and then use the search filter to find your desired record. 

Context can have addition selections (up to 4). Context is allowed one per type. For example, you can select one People, Project, Company, and Deal at one time.

If you select People twice for the context then you will receive an error notice. 

Select the Date and Time the Tasks should be complete. If the Task has a duration you can enter an end time. This is optional. 

The Assign To field, it defaulted to the logged in user. Users can assign task to others by search and selecting other Firm Users from the Assign To drop down.

Select the "Create ics" which will then send an email notification out to the Assignee (Assigned to). Be sure to click "Add Task" to complete the process.

Task Filter

Users
Filter by Users that the Task was assigned to or assigned by.

Example:

  • If a Task is assigned to Jessica then those Task will present themselves if Assigned To is checked in.
  • If Jessica assigns a task to someone then those Task will present themselves if Assigned By is checked in.
  • If Jessica assigns a Task to herself then the Task will present themselves if both are checked in.

Statuses
Filter by Task Statuses of All, Completed or Outstanding. 

Category/Types
Select/Deselect the Task Types to narrow your Tasks thread.

Date
Filter your Task by the Date they are due..

Context
Users can filter by the Object a Task is related to. This includes  People, Projects, Deals or Candidacies.

Manage Task

Users can edit and delete Tasks by clicking on the ellipses in the upper-right corner of each Task.

You can “mark” Task as complete by clicking in the box in the upper-left corner of the Task. Once a Task is marked complete, a gray backgrounds will display.

Note: Users can undo the “mark” as complete by clicking in the Undo hyperlink that displays briefly after a Task is marked complete. The completed message will change back to showing if the Task is overdue or how much time is left to complete the Task.
